How to Spy on Your Competitors for FREE [VIDEO]

Alright, let’s go undercover.

Before I start building a growth plan for clients I do one important thing.  I create a list of their top competitors and I start the process of reverse engineering their entire growth plan and marketing funnel.  The more I understand what makes them unique the better I understand the market opportunity for my client.

To keep it simple. I want to learn three things:

  1. Where is their traffic coming from?
  2. What’s their value proposition or point of differentiation?
  3. How do they retain customers?

I do it with three free tools. I leverage SimilarWeb, MailCharts and the Facebook ad transparency tool to get started.   Here is a video where I walk through how to use them.  Hope this helps you.
